The night in Glendale
Two names, one stage
On 23 August 2024, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspended his independent campaign for President and backed Donald Trump. That evening he joined Trump on stage at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The two shook hands as stage fireworks shot up behind them, and the arena — under the “Make America Great Again” screens — was on its feet.
The common cause was a phrase Kennedy had been using for years: Make America Healthy Again — less chronic disease in children, cleaner food, and answers on why Americans are sicker than they used to be.
From the campaign to the Cabinet
After the election, President-elect Trump chose Kennedy to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. The Senate confirmed him on 13 February 2025 and he was sworn in at the White House the same day — the day the President signed the executive order creating the Make America Healthy Again Commission, chaired by Secretary Kennedy.
